Mr. David Kozlowski

Mr. David Kozlowski has been married for 15 years and has two kids. He was born and raised in Carlsbad, California. David received a football scholarship to the University of Utah and graduated with a B.S. in Family and economic studies. He also received a Masters in Counseling Psychology from National University in San Diego, California. 
 
David has been working in mental health as a counselor and behavioral specialist for the past 22 years in environments such as teen crisis treatment centers, group homes, psychiatric hospitals, and drug addiction facilities. He is a licensed marriage and family therapist with his own private practice. David has focused on working with teens that struggle with depression, anxiety, self harm and suicidal ideations.
 
David is one half of “Light the Fight” parenting Podcast and executive director of the nonprofit called "Quit Trip’n" which social support groups for teens. David was also selected to be a Tedx Salt Lake City speaker in 2019 and his speech was about improving parent and teen relationships. 
 
David is a first year teacher at Herriman High. He teaches a class he created that is called “Level Up.” This class focuses on helping 10th graders improve their social health. It teaches them important information on how to better connect and improve relationships with family, friends, teachers/coaches, online relationships, all while improving the relationship with themselves.
