Kate Desvenain
Kate Desvenain became a licensed educator in 1999 after working for several years in the field of International Development. In that capacity, she traveled often to eastern Europe and southern Africa to administer government-funded programs to strengthen democratic institutions. She then became a high school teacher and worked in Washington, DC. After meeting her husband, they moved first to Colorado and then to Costa Rica where Kate continued to teach in a variety of settings. Upon returning to the States, she switched careers to educational travel. She worked as the Senior Director of Customer Relations for Academic Travel Abroad until her son graduated high school and began college here in Utah. Kate has been thrilled to return to teaching – which is where her heart truly lies!
