Mr. Larry Farnsworth has been married for 41 Years to the love of his life Bonnie, they have 3 sons and 10 spoon to 11 grand children. He was born in Moab Utah and lived in several western states growing up . He graduated from Thomas Edison High School in Stockton California. 
 
His favorite pastimes are spent with his family camping, Hiking , Backpacking in the outdoors. He has spent time coaching basketball, soccer, and as a Boy Scout Leader for 27 years.
 
Hobbies: Horse riding/training, Hiking, Back Packing , Hunting , Fishing, Boating, Camping
 
Education:
  • Larry Attended San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton California , earning a degree in automotive technology.
 
Experience:
Upon Graduation Mr. Farnsworth returned to his home town to take over the family farm after the passing of his grandfather. He took a job working for Atlas Minerals as a welder. When Atlas Minerals closed shortly after the 3 mile Island disaster. He moved to Salt Lake to work for Rick Warner Ford as a technician. He worked for Rick warner Ford for 7 years quitting to return to Moab to go into a partnership in a Feed Store. in  1987 he returned to work for Rick Warner Ford, until 1992. He began a new career as Carriage Driver in down Town, where he took on the responsibility of training new drivers and training horses. In 1992 he went to work for Stephen Wade Mitsubishi as a technician. A short stint at Middlekauff Ford Lincoln Mercury followed. He followed up this with a job with Ken Garff Ford  in Murray Utah.  Later he took a job as a technician for Lang Drilling as a mechanic.  He was asked to return to Ken Garff Ford where he headed up the new used car department. He worked there until Garff Enterprises bought the Drivers Mart Franchise. Mr. Farnsworth moved into a new building in downtown Salt Lake City. Where he worked as a shop foreman. After Drivers Mart Folded he moved to Ken Garff Oldsmobile. in 1999 he took a job with the Davis School District as the instructor of Automotive repair at Davis High School. In 2011 he was asked to come to Herriman High School as the Automotive instructor. 
Along the way he has worked at several part time jobs. Horse Breaker/trainer, Custom hay bailer, farm hand, Cattle Rancher and many more

  • Worked With FFA student ASE projects
  • Salt lake County 4-H advisor  1990 to Present- Outlaw Trail Riders club, Ranch Riding advisor 97-98
